This is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in psychosis research. The post is most suitable for specialist trainees with an interest in psychiatry/neuroscience/imaging.

The Psychiatric Imaging Group's research, led by Dr. Oliver Howes, focuses on understanding the causes of mental illnesses and improving their treatment using PET and other functional imaging techniques. You will conduct research projects and undertake image and data analysis using PET and MR imaging.

The Psychiatric Imaging Group has strong links with the Institute of Psychiatry and some projects will be carried out there. Opportunities for a higher degree (e.g., PhD) are available to eligible and suitably motivated candidates.

Salary: 31,226-36,684 pa Inclusive of Allowances


The minimum requirement for this post is MBBS or equivalent. Appropriate training will be given where necessary, although candidates with experience in psychiatry/neuroscience &/or neuroimaging expertise are particularly encouraged to apply.

The post requires excellent communication skills, report writing skills and attention to detail.
