The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center seeks an outstanding neurogeneticist to fill an open rank tenure track position (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor). The department and campus have state-of-the-art laboratories, core facilities, and unique populations of inbred mouse strains for elucidating the neurogenetics of normal and aberrant brain function ( We offer competitive salary and start-up packages, and membership in our vibrant interdepartmental Neuroscience Institute.


We seek candidates to complement and extend departmental research on CNS underpinnings of obesity, neurodevelopmental/cognitive disorders such as autism, or neurodegenerative disease. Successful candidates are expected to establish or maintain an independent, extramurally funded research program, and contribute to the departmentís teaching mission. Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent. The search will remain open until the position is filled.
