Job Title:	Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical High Risk for Psychosis

Description:	The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Center for Early Detection, Assessment, and Response to Risk (CEDAR) at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School is seeking applicants for a full-time, 1- or 2-year postdoctoral position to begin 1 July 2013. CEDAR is a clinical and research program that provides intensive assessment and treatment of individuals ages 14-30, who are showing signs of clinical high risk (putative prodrome) for psychosis. It is linked closely to the North American Prodrome Longitudinal Studies (NAPLS) research study (Seidman, PI). The postdoctoral fellow will work in a dynamic environment that is one of few specialty programs for clinical high risk for psychosis in the US. Duties will include: 1. Develop expertise in standardized clinical assessment evaluations of risk for psychosis by providing comprehensive consultations and intakes; 2. Treat patients and families in the clinic including participation in an innovative cognitive enrichment program for individuals at clinical high risk for psychosis; 3. Administration of neuropsychological and clinical assessments used for treatment evaluation and managing the outcomes evaluation database. This is an ideal position for someone who is pursuing a clinical and research career specializing in early intervention and prevention of psychosis.
Requirements:	1. Doctoral degree from an APA-approved Ph.D., Psy.D., or EdD program in clinical psychology. 2. At least 2 years’ experience in clinical assessment and cognitive behavioral treatment of teenagers and individuals with psychotic disorders. 3. Experience conducting structured clinical and research assessments (e.g., SCID, SIPS) and neuropsychological testing. 4. Background in clinical research design and methodology, statistics, and preparation of manuscripts. Successful grant experience will be valued. Demonstrated experience and interest in working with culturally diverse youth, as well as fluency in another language, will be considered additional strengths.
