Job Title: Neuroimaging Scientist

Description:

Geisinger Health System (GHS) is seeking a Neuroimaging Scientist to join a team of nationally recognized leaders in neuroimaging , genomics and neurodevelopmental disabilities to expand clinical research programs in autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

The newly founded Autism and Developmental Medicine Institute will create a national model for clinical research and innovative treatment options . The clinical programs will be embedded within an integrated research program that includes advanced neuroimaging, training in Applied Behavioral Analysis and research in behavior, and genomics, undertaken in collaboration with Bucknell University and other area universities. In addition to a team of neuroimaging specialists, neurodevelopmental pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, researchers, students and ABA specialists, the building will house a state-of-the-art neuroimaging center, as well as a bioinformatics high-performance computing core facility. The Institute has its first location in Lewisburg, Pa near the Bucknell University campus.

Requirements:

Prospective applicants should possess a PhD with experience in advanced neuroimaging methodology and analysis. Experience with functional MRI, morphometric MRI and MR spectroscopy techniques and analysis and a primary research interest in behavioral/neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred. Experience with high performance computational techniques and algorithms, programming, bioinformatics, statistics, or neurogenetics is considered a plus. This position involves clinical research opportunities. Opportunities for teaching experience are available through Bucknell University. We are seeking a senior post-doctoral fellow this position. Exceptionally well qualified applicants will be considered for a junior faculty level appointment.
