Description:

The Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking outstanding neuroscientists with a strong interest in the neurobiological basis of mental illness, including addiction, autism, depression, and schizophrenia for a tenure track Assistant Professor position. Candidates with research expertise in cellular, systems and translational neuroscience are preferred, including genetics, molecular biology, neurophysiology and behavior. A successful candidate will complement research of current faculty members, and participate in the development of disease-based research Centers of Excellence.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an MD and/or PhD degree, postdoctoral research experience, and a record of outstanding research publications. The selected candidate will be eligible for a competitive support package designed to foster early career development. Our Neuroscience Division is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative research group within the Psychiatry Department.
