Job Title: Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Eagleman Laboratory

Description:

We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to be part of a multi-disciplinary team led by Dr. David Eagleman, Ph.D. at the Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). The laboratory specializes in several areas of systems neuroscience in humans, including sensory substitution, time perception, synesthesia, schizophrenia, social neuroscience, and the intersection of neuroscience and the legal system. Our tools of analysis include fMRI, EEG, GSR, and deep brain stimulation in neurosurgical patients. For more information on the laboratory, please visit EaglemanLab.net.

The Eagleman laboratory is a member of the Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Psychiatry at BCM, as well as the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at Rice University.

Additional Salary Information: Salary based on NIH postdoctoral scale.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate will have experience in fMRI, psychophysics, programming and analysis. Quantitative, computational, or engineering backgrounds are encouraged. Successful candidates must have a track record of first-author research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. The term of this appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance and funding.
