Description:

The Department of Physiology/Pharmacology at Wake Forest School of Medicine is seeking tenure track faculty at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Wake Forest and the Department provide a highly collaborative and collegial environment with opportunities to interact with faculty who have strengths in research areas including substance abuse, psychiatric illness, learning and memory, nutrition science, cellular protection and aging, as well as unique behavioral models in rodents and nonhuman primates.

Requirements:

Although the Department will consider applicants with broad research interests, priority will be given to candidates whose research focuses on target areas including obesity/eating disorders, regenerative medicine, and aging/lifespan. Research approaches of interest include bioinformatics of genes/expression profiles, innovative cellular neuroscience techniques and human brain imaging.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a population of approximately 220,000, is home to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The city is nestled in the northwestern region of North Carolina, within easy driving distance to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and the pristine beaches of North Carolina.
