Animal Model: Neuregulin 1 Hypomorph (Transmembrane Domain)
Preparation Type: Genetic Preparations
DA-related behavior: Hyperactive in open field test
Gating: Disrupted PPI
Cognitive behavior: No impairment in spatial learning or working memory but diminished social recognition memory
Social behavior: Increase in dominance related and aggressive behavior depending on environment
Molecular/morphological signature: Reduced NMDA receptor activity; increased serotonin 2A receptors and serotonin transporters in CNS
Response to APD: Open field behavior reversed by clozapine but not PPI
