  I recommend this paper

This is a very strong study that provides convincing evidence that individuals with schizophrenia have a significantly decreased risk for some types of cancer. The authors also show that unaffected parents and siblings have significant reductions in the risk of certain types of cancer, also. The findings should provide a powerful catalyst for the search for familial factors (genetic factors and/or shared environmental factors) that could underpin these findings.
